Alexis launched his jewelry collections in the early 90's, but his artistic flair was evident long before that. As a child, Alexis accompanied his parents to flea markets, where they collected and sold rare antiques.At age 22, fueled by his love of antiques, Bakelite jewelry, and Lalique glass, Bittar began making and selling lucite and semi-prcious jewelry on the streets of SoHo.
Described as "one of the most innovative jewelry designers of the 21st century," his designs have become cult favorites among A-list celebrities and fashion icons world-wide. He has collaborated with some of the most prestigious Fashion Families such as Michael Kors, and Burberry.
He continues to innovate and captivate Fashion and jewelry today, and boasts his own signature boutiques.
On a personal note, I have met him through the years, and he is always gracious and humble.
